More On the Rum Cake

Here I am in my kitchen. The recipe does not call for wine, but, I felt that it was appropriate to toast Julia Child, the famous American cook. Although I never met her, she lived her later years and died in Santa Barbara, my favorite place on earth, and she attend The Branson School in Marin County, which is the first secondary school I worked at.

gathered all my ingredients and made the Bacardi Rum Cake. (By the way, the movie gives a glimpse of the view of the hills outside of my deck.
NOTE: The About.com recipe is the same as on the official Bacardi Rum site. However, Bacardi.com requires age verification and it takes too many clicks to get to.
Of course, baking a "bundt cake" reminds me of the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding - the cake has a hole in the middle of it!
Program Note: If you make this cake, remember to reduce oven temperature by 25 degrees if you use a dark non-stick pan.
