The Day Before The Day Before Christmas

As I told my friends, I woke up this morning to Thursday. I don't understand where this week has gone off to!

I didn't make it to the beach today. There are very strong winds blowing and they'll continue until tomorrow evening. Ryan and I had lunch at a Thai restaurant in Huntington Beach. It's a cool place that his roommate frequents.

I'll head up to Los Angeles tomorrow - probably pretty early in the day. The traffic around the area has been really bad. Our family will celebrate Christmas tomorrow night, on Christmas Eve. The individual households will have their own Christmas celebrations on Christmas Day. I think that we started the Christmas Eve celebration partly because it's my cousin Debbie's birthday. And, with the birth of the next generation, it was easier to have separate Christmas Day events for each family.

I'm excited to head up to be with my family the next few days.
